The holiday home Kratersee is located in the old centre of Schalkenmehren. The cosy holiday home has 3 separate bedrooms and a total of 6 sleeping places. 1 bedroom with double bed on the middle floor, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds on the upper floor (can be combined) and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds on the upper floor. The living space is 130 sqm, spread over 3 floors. In the living room: fireplace, high-quality granite floor in the entire basement. The beautiful and elegant holiday home was extensively renovated and partly refurbished in spring 2012. Wlan / Internet access available.
The house has 1 x bathroom with bathtub / WC on the middle floor and 1 x shower / WC in the basement which also has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathrooms have real glass partitions. It has a very nice separate kitchen with dishwasher. Living room, beautiful dining room, kitchen with 4 ring hob (ceramic hob), oven, fridge with freezer, hallway, central heating, flat screen TV, satellite TV with many German and international channels, stereo, radio, games, separate entrance
The equipment includes: microwave, coffee machine, toaster and electric kettle. Pots and pans as well as cutlery and crockery for the highest possible number of persons are of course available. Cot and high chair can be provided free of charge. Bed linen and towels can be provided.
Outdoor area: Balcony with garden furniture, parking space directly in front of the house entrance.
The arrival can take place from 1 p.m.. Departure should be before 10.30 a.m. Exceptions can be agreed in individual cases.
The holiday home is only 300 m from the lake. Excellent leisure opportunities are available in the town, at the lake and in the region.

Schalkenmehren is a very beautiful and well-known tourist resort with approx. 600 inhabitants at an altitude of approx. 450 metres, located directly on the Maar (crater lake) of Schalkenmehren. In addition to the many water sports offers, swimming, fishing, boating etc., a variety of beautiful hiking trails is waiting for you around the lakes and in the region. One of the most beautiful cycle paths in Germany, the Maare - Mosel cycle path (former railway line to the Moselle), goes directly past Schalkenmehren. Bicycles can be hired at a low price in the village.
Furthermore there are a large number of good restaurants and pubs of various categories.
Both Schalkenmehren and Daun offer good shopping facilities. The district town of Daun is 3 miles away.
